A NEW WASTE CLEANER 83 BOOKS TO SERVE THE WHOLE FRENCH COASTLINE

Paimpol, 23 April 2021- Efinor, European leader in pollution control vessels, has delivered a new WCL83 to the service company Ekkopol.

Completing its range of maritime pollution control tools, Ekkopol is developing its activity on the Mediterranean, Atlantic and English coasts, as well as on rivers and inland waterways.

"We are very happy to provide a powerful tool to a company that shares the same values as us on the protection of the oceans. We are constantly improving our boats and this WCL83 brings together the best of the best in terms of pollution control," says Benjamin Lerondeau, operational director of the EFINOR shipyard. "
"There is a general awareness of the need to reduce the use of plastics which are everywhere on our beaches and coastline. Collecting floating waste is becoming a matter of course for many communities. This WCL83 boat has unique performances and it is endowed with an ideal operational flexibility to serve several sites, several ports at the same time" according to Eric Dupont, director of the company Ekkopol. "

This Waste Cleaner 83 will enter service in May after a week of sea trials.

This multi-purpose vessel collects solid and liquid waste such as hydrocarbons. Easily deployable in the area, with a road gauge, it can be used for emergency services as well as regular clean-up operations.
