Our training teams are currently in Bali, Indonesia to train local teams to pilot our cleanup vessel, Mobula 8, which will be purchased by The SeaCleaners in 2021.
In order to participate in the national strategy set up by Indonesia to reduce plastic pollution, cleaning operations will take place. It is within this framework that our teams have been sent on site to participate in the training of the captain and the crews of the ship.
Currently moored in its marina, it should be able to start its collection operations 5 days a week within a few weeks!
But before we can officially start these actions of collecting plastic waste in the Benoa Port area, the ship will be inaugurated on March 20th. This inauguration will take place in the presence of the founder of The SeaCleaners, Yvan Bourgnon, institutional partners and Balinese associations as well as in the presence of our operational director Benjamin LERONDEAU who will be able to present the know-how of our company in the service of marine pollution clean-up, whether it is solid floating waste, microplastics or hydrocarbons.
We are delighted with this partnership which, among other things, aims to raise awareness of ocean conservation among the local population.
