The Department of Fisheries and Marine Research of the Cypriot Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment had placed an order for a pollution control vessel, the largest in our range: the Spill Cleaner 250.
After a year of production in our workshops, the vessel is about to leave the port of Cherbourg for delivery to the customer in early March.
As part of the contract and our services, our teams will be on site for the official delivery of the vessel and for assistance with commissioning, including crew training.
This 25-meter-long vessel is capable of collecting solid waste and hydrocarbon-type liquids, even in heavy seas, thanks to the self-floating arms deployed at the bow of the vessel.
A true multi-purpose vessel, it can be used offshore for towing, fire-fighting, cargo transport or coastal surveillance.
In terms of wastewater treatment, its collection capacities are substantial:
On June 8, World Ocean Day, EFINOR SEA CLEANER reaffirms its concrete commitment to protecting the oceans, collecting waste at sea, and fighting plastic pollution. In the face of this environmental emergency, our teams are redoubling their efforts to provide sustainable solutions for a responsible maritime future.
The Spill Cleaner 250 is completing its test phase before official delivery to the customer in Cyprus at the beginning of March.
